Iroh provides a simple API to connect peers by public key and maintains the fastest route automatically
It uses QUIC (via the Quinn library) for encrypted, multiplexed, datagram-capable connections
Iroh attempts NAT hole-punching first and falls back to public relay servers when needed
Pre-built protocols are available: iroh-blobs for content-addressed file transfer, iroh-gossip for scalable pub/sub, iroh-docs for key-value storage, and iroh-willow for the Willow protocol
Rust users can install via cargo; examples include an echo protocol demo. FFI bindings exist for other languages
Documentation, builds, community chat, and more resources are available online
