AlphaGenome outperforms or matches current best models on most genomic prediction and variant effect benchmarks, unifying multiple tasks in one model.

It offers efficient variant scoring, novel splice-junction modeling, and can accelerate disease research, synthetic biology, and fundamental genome studies.

Limitations include challenges with very distant regulatory elements, cell-type specificity, and lack of direct clinical validation.
